Safehouse Firearms Instruction has had a busy week. This has been a week filled with tons of paperwork. And great strides have been made regarding our FFL, LLC, & exclusive range use.
The Federal Firearms License (FFL) paperwork has been completed and is on its way to the ATF for consideration. If all goes well (and I have no reason to believe that it won’t) I should get a visit from the ATF for an interview in about 60 days. And if that goes well (and I have no reason to believe that it won’t) I should have my FFL.
The LLC has been completed and we are a real company now in the eyes of the IRS and the great State of Kansas.
In addition, I was able to work out a deal with Kevin, the owner of Kaw Valley Gun Club which will ensure that (unlike the students of other instructors in the area) SFI students will not have to stand in a long line at the range. SFI will have exclusive use of reserved lanes at the range. SFI students will also receive $10 off their first year’s membership (usually $30).
So things are moving forward. I am still hopeful that I will have insurance worked out and everything in place to be fully operational sometime in early June.
Safehouse Firearms Instruction looks forward to providing Topeka with the finest and most professional firearms training in Topeka. We want you and your family to be better able to protect yourself and your family should the need arise and we want you to stay safe and accident-free in the process. We promise to offer only the highest quality training and to do so with patience and professionalism. And when we get our FFL, we will be able to provide for your firearms needs as well.
Once classes will begin, we will post training opportunities as they become available.
As always, Safehouse Firearms Instruction looks forward to the opportunity to help you make your house… a safe house.
